Baseball update
The Gators (11-23-1) snapped a long losing streak by splitting a doubleheader with the Apprentice School at War Memorial Stadium in March 28.
After losing the first game 6-2, the Gators finally got a win with a 9-1 victory in the second game.
In the first game, the Gators did all their scoring in the top of the first inning on a run-scoring single by Joey Williams and a groundout by Will Michalowicz.
In the second game, the Gators amassed 10 hits and took advantage of five errors by the Builders for the victory.
Nate Sherman, Zac Barco, Aydan Harmon and Williams all had two hits. Grant Adkins earned the victory for the Gators, pitching seven innings and holding Apprentice to hits and one run. He struck out three.
On March 31, the Gators lost both games of a doubleheader to Paul D. Camp, dropping the first game 11-7, and the second 19-7. Camp then completed a three-game weekend sweep with an 11-0 victory April 2.

April 8: Rockingham CC, Wentworth, N.C., 11 a.m. (9 innings)
